Proyecto Asis is a wildlife rescue center focused on the protection and rehabilitation of native animals. Visitors can tour the facilities, take Spanish classes, or volunteer to help care for the animals, whose natural habitats are often threatened by expanding development in the region.
Spend a half day learning about local wildlife and conservation during this once-in-a-lifetime Costa Rican volunteer opportunity. Prepare food, and help maintain the grounds as you learn about local wildlife from area experts, and
assist in the rehabilitation process.
This tour includes a guided walk on trails where you'll visit all of the animals and find out where they originate from. Then, join the staff and help them with all of the important tasks needed to help & maintain the wild creatures. Proyecto Asis offers the chance to feed and care for the animals in addition to building and repairing enclosures.
