Airports

Costa Rica is home to two major international airports, ensuring convenient access for travelers from around the world. Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), located near the capital city of San José, is the country’s busiest airport and the primary gateway for international arrivals. On the northwestern Pacific coast, Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) serves as the main entry point for visitors heading to Guanacaste’s beaches and resorts. Located in Liberia, this airport provides easy access to popular destinations such as Tamarindo, Papagayo, and Nosara, making it an ideal choice for travelers exploring Costa Rica’s regions.
